Construction All Risks (CAR)
Car insurance is indispensable for any construction activity. This insurance is often taken out by the client or (main) contractor, but can also be taken out by private persons as builders.
Car insurance protects the builders against accidents and damage on the jobsite. The policy covers all risk of damage to the works and materials during the course of construction, unless that damage is excluded by the policy.
Car policies are issued for the complete project period and can be extended to include a maintenance period after the owner takes control of the property while the contractor asked to remedy minor defects.
Car policies can be extended to cover liability for third party bodily injury or property damage arising from contruction.
You also have the possibility to include accidental breakdown of construction equipment.
